My Mountain Biking Story

Mountain Biking!!!!!!!

Near the Hunua river, all around me I could see kaleidoscopic bikes, vibrant helmets, the river and lots of vile mud. While my activity group were trying to Ruth’s instructions, because the river water was rushing down the stream, we were filling up with excitement on the inside but I was also intrigued about learning how to put on a helmet PROPERLY FINALLY!!!!!!!! And at the same time I was talkative and courageous. I could still taste the breakfast that I had from that morning. Before I knew it I was peddling in the squelching mud behind Ruth following her on the track around tight corners and large puddles. After that I was leading everyone and all the others were following me. I was changing gears along the way, knowing which time to change the gears from 1 to 2 or vice versa. Everyone had mud all over them. Every time I rode down the track I could see trees in a parallel line and could hear people talking while riding which wasn’t to bad except that Phoebe fell off her bike. I was so puffed but we still had more to do. After the see-saw and bumps made out of wood. After that activity I was happy to know how to put a helmet on properly, knowing to watch my gears and the road and if I hear an odd noise, to move away from it. After I had aching muscles, was drinking water and trying not to fall asleep. It was the best biking experience I have ever had other than Flying Kiwi but that's another story.
